Such an important reminder. We can’t control everything, but we can control whether we act when it matters...screenings and early choices make all the difference.

Thanks, Ryan. With freedom to choose comes potential consequences of those choices, as you suggest.

Thank you so much for this post. I am 79 and due for a colonoscopy. My Dad died of colon cancer, but I've been thinking, at my age, do I really need one? You helped me make the decision that I am going to do it now. I wonder if you recommend them for people over 80 years old. I watched you speak to Heather Van Vorous. That is how I learned about you. Heather changed my life many years ago when I found her. I have IBS. I went to doctor after doctor, and no one had heard of her. Thank goodness I have followed her recommendations!

Thx, Nancy, for reaching out. While I am not dispensing any actual medical advice here, I don't subscribe to a firm 'cut off' date for colon screening and try to individualize this to the patient before me. I wish you well.

Ed, I would normally write thank you for the kind words, but more accurately, thank you for the kind word!

Thx for all that, Lewis. With regard to fatherhood, I have the sense that the progeny view me as a work in progress! Can I consider this a win? MK
